Virgen De La Asunción
Virgen de la Asuncion is a winery located in the La Horra region of northern Spain the winery was founded in 1957 and has approximately 325 hectares of land. More than half of Virgen de la Asuncion’s vineyards are over fifty years old and some even exceed one hundred years old. All of the grapes created by these vineyards are of a superior quality and are used to create some of the finest wines around. Another thing Virgen de la Asuncion does to ensure a superior wine is have all of the grapes in every vineyard picked by hand with extra care and attention going into monitoring the quality and ripeness of the grapes.
Virgen de la Asuncion is very much a family run vineyard dating back generations traditions have been handed down through the years enabling Virgen de la Asuncion to offer very unique wines which proudly present the land they were grown and produced in. the younger fruity wines Virgen de la Asuncion produce come from their centennial vineyards that express the spirit of the Spanish Ribera.
Only 30% of Virgen de la Asuncion are exported around the world and so they will not be found in supermarkets, all of these wines are created with a real passion and give an essence of the land they were produced in, this selection of Virgen de la Asuncion wines are truly unique and give a taste of what truly fantastic Spanish wines is like.
