Conte Guicciardini
Conte Guicciardini is just outside Florence in Italy, it has vineyards on the sunny sloping hills between the Pesa and Virginio streams the stony soil that the vines are planted in provide fundamental conditions for great quality wines.
The vineyards cover 320 acres of hill side and the vines are planted in an attempt to reduce yield per plant to get a more concentrated grape which will in time achieves an exquisite concentrated wine, Most of the vineyards are planted with Sangiovese, one of the traditional grapes of Chianti. The right bank of Virginio creek are devoted to the production of superb Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG wines whereas the left bank is devoted to the production of IGT wines. Conte Guicciardini are passionate about wines and so take care in every step of the wine production, in order to exploit the superior quality of the grapes grown and harvested in the vineyards traditional oak casks are used to store the Chianti Colli Fiorentini Riserva wines the IGT wines are stored in conditions that will add a smoothness and lushness to them.
After the wines have been bottled they undergo a period of maturing before being shipped off, these exquisite Conte Guicciardini are not sold in supermarkets and have to be shipped in specially from Italy.
